About our historical location:

The Fraser Medical Building began its long and fascinating history just before the civil war as a humble florist’s shop and greenhouse known as Fraser’s Flowers. It rose to national fame by winning the 1846 Horticultural Exhibition with a ‘Fielder’s White’ azalea.

Fraser Flowers was a much beloved fixture in Wellesley for many generations, providing magnificent blooms and seeds for the finest events and gardens of the town, and indeed the nation, by way of a clever mail order system instituted in the American Horticulturalist Magazine. They were one of the few horticulturalists so highly trusted that they were contracted to aid in the design of the new Boston Convent Garden in 1914.

The Fraser family then sold the property to a developer in 1966, wherein the building substantially grew in size, and was renamed The Fraser Medical Building. The lush greenhouses gave way to convenient parking for visitors seeking the best healthcare treatment in a quiet and modern new facility. The Frasers have gone on to make their mark on our area and the country with many notables.

The Fraser Building continues to attract the finest care providers, such as those found at Wellesley Dental Studio, with its central location and old New England classic elegance.
